East of our house this early stage cumulonimbus calvus cloud was rising in the blue sky in early June. The video was speeded up 4x to show the movement of the rising billows. It didn’t develop into a big storm.

I love watching these build. We’re just moving from ‘virga season’ to ‘cumulonimbus season’ — with the heat that comes along with those towering clouds.
Me, too. Especially when they form anvil tops.
I’d be asking you where your storm shelter is. Reminds me of times I’ve watch weather unfold in real time in the mountains.
Fortunately, this was east of us and going away. We have a good shelter place downstairs.
