If you are celebrating Earth Day April 22, consider staying up late to watch for the Lyrid Meteors that night. They are not typically a showy display. But, there have been a few occasions in the past where hundreds per hour were witnessed. This video from ScienceAtNASA tells about it.

I will try to observe them in the early morning which sounds like a good time except for our forecast…overcast and rain with possible thunder showers. Pretty much the forecast for all our celestial events lately.
You are due for a break with nice weather and blue skies. You have plenty of moisture by now.
It has been a lovely day, but the sky is clouding up now and we have a 60% chance of rain overnight.
Maybe there is an online site we can watch.
