Metropolis, Illinois is on the Ohio River directly across from Paducah, Kentucky. A claim to fame for the city is their statue of Superman in the town center. Of course, we had to stop on our journey to South Carolina to visit family.

I am struggling to decide which is less likely – a giant statue of Superman, or a city called Metropolis!
Right. Here we have them both. Very cool.
Pretty cool. No crime in that town. Have you ever driven by the giant ball of string?
I never have seen that attraction. Gotta put it on my bucket list now.
He certainly doesn’t look like the cold and snow is bothering him. But of course, it shouldn’t — he’s Superman!
