At 6:00 this morning I photographed our old friend Orion to the south. The International Space Station then passed just to the left of Orion very near bright Jupiter. The ISS was going from top to bottom of the frame. It will pass below Orion on Wednesday morning. I will try again. Maybe I can get both Orion and ISS in the same frame.
Interesting…guess I should try to get a glimpse of this too myself on Wednesday.
If you live in the midwest like eastern Iowa and the n western part of Illinois, it should be easy. I will need to watch the sky at 5:59 am here in IA. To the east, a little later. The station covers 5 miles per second across the Earth. The viewing window is fairly short.
I hope you get to see it. Let me know if you need more information.
Gotta love seeing Orion when sitting in the bubbling spa.
That’s the way to do it. Nice.
I enjoyed stopping by while you were gone. I caught up on several topics with your sets of previous posts.
